Last weekend, the Instagram Stories at the top of my feed exploded with a game my friends were playing - it involves a shoutout of your friends on Instagram Stories by featuring your favourite photo from their feed. Since Instagram Stories only lasts for about 24 hours, I decided to make this shoutout last a little longer by creating a blog post so that you can check these profiles out in your own time! It's the least I could do for some of you for your support towards Dizzcoverie - for keeping my interests in photography, travel, architecture and cities at the top of my mind and to remind me that I'm not really alone in my pursuit of aesthetically pleasing spots :)Read More
The photo that you’ve just uploaded on Instagram was made possible with either blood, sweat and/or tears. You might have gone on that hike that you otherwise wouldn’t have done but you did it for the ‘gram anyway. You probably spent twenty minutes deciding which filter to use on VSCO cam, or making sure that everything is well-aligned on SKWRT. Why, of course you have to share that photo! After all, any form of photography would be considered wasted if left unseen.Read More
It’s hard to dress up no matter who you are, what more a regular Jane who doesn’t have the luxury of a hair and beauty stylist to come over each morning to doll you up. So don’t be hatin’ if one day I end up looking like I dressed in the dark! Anywhay, these are just a few of the fashion (mis)fortunes that we ladies face on the regular, yet nobody seems to talk about it.Read More
There are plenty of Instagram profiles that you've come across and follow closely but was never able to put a face to the username. Squarepad is one of them, especially if you’re a cafe-hopping/foodie-loving individual living in Malaysia. So when Squarepad decided to run photography workshops and reveal his identity, it was a good opportunity to learn food photography from a trained eye.Read More

You might be wondering what’s there to do in Nagoya, or how long you should stay in there for. While it’s entirely up to you, I managed to cover the city in less than 12 hours before heading back to Tokyo!Read More
I’ve been on cars, trains, buses, helicopters, boats and cruise ships to get from destination A to B, but here’s nothing quite exhilarating like travelling on a plane and being at the airport beforehand.Read More
The gentle rays of the sun stroking one's skin as it descends into the horizon is akin to the joyful warmth of knowing that you're about to reunite with a loved one at the airport. It's undeniably exciting to know that the confined walls of @malaysiaairports has witnessed plenty moments of me exchanging hellos, goodbyes as well as stories to tell as a traveller - not forgetting as someone waiting for a loved one as they return from their travels. Thank you for facilitating such blissful memories and thank you for being #MYJoyfulAirport.
My experience in travel is most joyful when the aeroplane meets the airport tarmac, even more so when I hear the phrase “Selamat pulang ke tanahair”, which undoubtedly indicates that I’ll be home in no time. You’ll often hear this tender, warm and loving phrase at none other than @malaysianairports. Knowing that I have landed safe and sound brings me and everyone else in good spirits, including loved ones who are anticipating a short text or call from me and are enthusiastically waiting at the arrival hall. Going through immigration, baggage reclaim and customs may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it excites me as it means that I am one step closer to walking out of the doors and into the arms of my loved ones at the arrival hall. Oh wait, let’s not forget chocolates from the duty-free store too! As soon as we embraced each other with hugs, it seemed that we were the only ones at the arrival hall, because nothing else mattered than to be reunited with them once again. Trust @malaysiaairports to be #MYJoyfulAirport!
Admit it - job interviews suck.
As much as you're excited to receive a response from your potential employer, nothing cripples you like the thought of going through the painful formalities of scheduling an interview (or two, if they like you enough), filling in forms (RIP trees), doing your homework about the company and its competitors as well as proving yourself that you're the one that they want.
Ah, if only life was like a musical. Here are a few songs we think that would be suitable for all you passive and active jobseekers:Read More
Oftentimes we live vicariously through social media: through the feeds of our friends, family, or even our favourite celebrities and influencers. It has even become a routine for us: to check what everyone else is up to in the morning, in between work or running errands, during what is supposed to be your “Me” time and even before you go to bed.Read More
